Where is Silver City Ballroom located?

Silver City Ballroom is located at 16 Colony Street in Meriden, Connecticut, in the heart of Central Connecticut. Conveniently situated between Hartford and New Haven and directly across from the Hartford Line station, the ballroom is easily accessible for guests traveling from throughout Connecticut and the surrounding New England region.

What makes Silver City Ballroom historically distinctive?

Originally constructed in 1922, Silver City Ballroom continues to reflect the architectural character of the building's early beginnings. The original steel vault, soaring ceilings, dramatic arched windows, and neoclassical detailing remain integral to the ballroom today, offering guests a tangible connection to the building's past while continuing to shape the atmosphere of the space.

How many guests can the venue accommodate?

Silver City Ballroom accommodates up to 170 guests for seated weddings and up to 200 guests for cocktail-style celebrations. Seating arrangements and floorplans can be thoughtfully adapted to support a variety of event styles while maintaining the atmosphere and flow of the ballroom.

Can the vault be incorporated into our event design?

Yes. The floral installation surrounding the original steel vault can remain in place, enhanced with additional florals selected to complement your celebration, or be removed entirely to reveal the original steel beneath. For couples who prefer not to feature the vault as part of their event design, fabric draping can also be incorporated to create a custom backdrop that completely conceals the vault from view.

Do you host more than one event per day?
